We'll send you a list in English of related NHK footage, plus quotes for the costs and license fees in the case of your media type, territory and desired period of use.
* The list may include items for which licensing is NOT available.

3. Screening

You can screen items:
  • on DVD
  • online
  • in our screening room

We will send you an English description of each footage item

4. Master copy

You then order a master copy in the tape format of your choice or in a downloadable digital file. We will check the rights for each clip.
*This is expected to take 5 business days
*It may be necessary for you to obtain third party rights clearance.

5. Agreement

We then exchange the signed license agreements and dispatch your master copy.

6. Report

You notify us of how much NHK footage you actually used.

Aspect ratio:

NHK footage is produced in standard definition (4:3 aspect ratio) and HD (16:9).
Many ites shot before December 2000 are 4:3, after which most items are HD.
Conversion from HD to 4:3, 4:3 to HD are possible.
